Youth Program at Sami Church Days 2025
Are you between 16 and 24 years old? Then you have a unique opportunity to participate in the youth program at Sami Church Days – completely free of charge! We have room for 45 participants at the youth program. Participants in the youth program will have their accommodation and a ticket to the Kajsa Balto concert covered.
A Meaningful Program for Young Participants
The youth program allows you to actively contribute to the Church Days. As a participant, you will:
✅ Plan and lead a youth service in Alta Church together with Pastor Emilia Holmlund.
✅ Deliver a joint appeal to the churches in Sápmi, where bishops from Norway, Sweden, and Finland will receive and respond to the message. The appeal will be presented on Sunday morning before the closing service.
✅ Take part in seminars and workshops from the main program, with opportunities to explore topics such as faith, culture, music, and society.
Community and Safe Environment
Participants in the youth program will stay together in student housing, just a 10-minute walk from the Northern Lights Cathedral, in the heart of Alta.
🍽️ Meals: Breakfast, lunch, dinner, and evening snacks will be served in a dedicated youth room at the Northern Lights Cathedral. Adult leaders will always be present, and the room will serve as a base for participants.
🔥 Social Spaces: Youth participants will have access to Alta Church and a large lavvu (Sámi tent), which will be a gathering place for activities and fellowship.
